Food and Nutrition Service
Food instability is a challenge for our members on the DTES, especially for the members that are HIV positive. Supported by our Community Health Worker peers, our centre offers daily breakfast, snacks and a hot lunch for our members. The atmosphere created in our common room is one of support, knowledge sharing and acceptance. Additionally, the group gathering allows our Nurses and Community Liaison Workers to interact directly with members and address any immediate, or long-term health concerns.
